Transformed Clubhouse Re-Opens at The Landing
Restaurant and Elevated Dining Experience Are Centerpieces of Renovation
Greensboro, GA (March 20, 2024) – The Landing Clubhouse at Reynolds Lake Oconee has reopened following a total transformation. Headlining the renovation is a totally reimagined restaurant ESSĒ, which along with a more modern aesthetic has been expanded to create more open, connected spaces and additional seating.
ESSĒ. (es-see), derived from the Latin meaning “to be,” celebrates food and gathering moments as the essence of good living in this vibrant community.
A welcoming, octagonal central bar and vaulted ceilings immediately draw guests into the airy space, which is crowned by a stunning overhead light fixture of blown glass spheres. The Blue Roma Quartzite bar top has beautiful rust veins that add to the drama of this space and tie in beautifully with the burnt orange and rust upholstery of the new furniture.
Additionally, the veranda—accessible from the dining room or a new outdoor staircase— and the two lounge areas at the front of the restaurant, open many new al fresco dining opportunities as well as beautiful views of The Landing golf course, which traverses through woods and water.
Dark wood arches were added to the soaring vaulted ceiling running through the center of the space to create some drama and to help connect the front bar scene to the dining space in the back of the restaurant.
Complementing the relaxed, sophisticated vibe is a menu that delivers a level of excitement and energy to the ESSĒ culinary experience. Chef Zouhair Bellout, the community’s Executive Chef and Director of Culinary, and his team have created a broad international selection of bites, plates, hand-helds, and sweets for diners to enjoy. Instant favorites include the Wagyu Beef Sliders, Szechuan Sautéed Shrimp, Grilled North Carolina Swordfish, and Roasted Beef Prime Rib.
Describing the variety of offerings as “ingredient driven,” Bellout said, “We seek and find the freshest seasonal greens, fish, and vegetables and take a fresh approach in how we prepare these dishes. The menu will evolve and continually change with the seasons.”
Reynolds Lake Oconee partnered with DreamBuilt for construction and for interior design, The Johnson Studio, which previously worked on the design of The National Tavern and the Creek Club clubhouse renovation.
Also included in the renovation were six guestrooms and the addition of an exclusive entrance for Inn guests. Restrooms and men’s and women’s locker rooms were all refurbished during the year-long project.
The Landing clubhouse is open to members of Reynolds Lake Oconee, as well as guests of the resort.
