TWO PUEBLO BONITO RESORTS RECOGNIZED BY TRAVEL + LEISURE

Mazatlan resorts crack elite roster of “The 25 Best Resort Hotels in Mexico

Mazatlán, Mexico (July 26, 2022) – Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán Beach Resort and Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa have been voted to “The 25 Best Resort Hotels in Mexico” list by the readers of Travel + Leisure (T+L), the esteemed consumer travel magazine.

“The best resorts in Mexico, according to T+L readers, showcase the country’s spectacular beaches, food, and culture,” the publication stated. “There are myriad reasons to love Mexico, from ample sunshine and secluded beaches to warm hospitality and flavor-packed food.”

According to the report, Mexico – T+L’s 2022 Destination of the Year — “has been one of the few international destinations to permit nonessential air travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, and hotels kept guests’ health and safety top of mind as they implemented wide-ranging protocols, including free on-site pre-departure testing for guests. But as new properties continue to open across the country at a rapid clip, it takes more than nailing the basics to get onto this prestigious list of the 25 best resorts in Mexico, as voted by T+L readers.

In the end, “Travelers couldn’t resist the barefoot luxury of Mexico’s coastal resorts, which comprise the entirety of this year’s list,” T+L’s editors reported. That includes the destination of Mazatlán, a charming colonial city with a beautiful beach-rimmed coastline that’s renowned for its seafood.

Ranked No. 8 on the exclusive list is Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan Beach Resort, the hospitality company’s original property credited with setting the bar for luxury travel in Mazatlan. Pueblo Bonito (“Beautiful Village”) Mazatlán effectively launched one of the most successful resort brands in Mexico.

“The recent renovations at this resort on Mazatlán’s Zona Dorada (Golden Zone) coastline haven’t gone unnoticed by T+L readers,” the magazine stated. “’The results are a huge improvement,’ wrote one voter, who also commented on how ‘family-friendly’ the property is.”

An extensive $26.5 million renovation project, completed last year, was designed to pay homage to hotel’s Old World charm while elevating all elements of the property, including the guest suites, restaurants, lobbies, pools, and façade. The remodeling and renovation project updated, improved and streamlined the appearance of the building exterior, accommodations and amenities while retaining the unique appeal of a hotel that has endeared it to guests for 35 years. The deluxe all-inclusive resort hotel fronts one of the best stretches of beach in Mazatlan.

Also voted to the roster of “The 25 Best Resort Hotels in Mexico” is Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa. “Pampering is a major reason guests escape to this Sinaloan resort on the Pacific,” the T+L report stated. “’Gorgeous spa with lots of treatment options,’ said a voter. ‘Stayed in a villa that was fabulous. Spoiled us for sure!’”

Emerald Bay is an all-suite, all-inclusive hotel set above a crescent beach on the sun-splashed Pacific coast. Nestled on 20 acres overlooking the sea, Emerald Bay offers lush tropical gardens dotted with koi ponds, a pair of oceanfront swimming pools with swim-up bars, and neoclassical architecture inspired by Old Mazatlán. The suites offer an ideal hideaway for families in a natural setting that includes habitat for wildlife, including swans, peacocks, and flamingos. Activities are available for all ages, including special children’s programs, organized fitness classes, nature preserve and botanical tours, and tennis. The resort’s culinary highlight is La Cordeliere, its elegant French cuisine and famous Champagne Sunday Brunch served in a casually elegant dining room or on a large, shaded terrace.
