TWIN ORCHARD COUNTRY CLUB TO UPGRADE KEY AMENITIES

New Pickleball Courts and Golf Course Enhancements Under Way

Long Grove, Ill. (May 9, 2022) –Twin Orchard Country Club—one of the premier clubs in Chicagoland—is adding new amenities designed to touch all facets of the member experience. With the club preparing to celebrate its centennial in 2024, major investments will be made in new pickleball courts and a renovation of its White Golf Course.

“We’re strategically investing in our club’s amenities and laying the framework for the next 100 years,” said Jack Newman, club president.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America, so the club will have four new pickleball courts ready by Memorial Day weekend. They will complement the club’s three existing clay tennis courts.

Brian Bellew, director of racquets and a certified pickleball instructor says, “The entire racquet staff and our members are looking forward to the additional courts being available for our growing population of pickleball enthusiasts.” In addition to casual matches, the club will host team events and tournaments.

Also, the club membership unanimously approved a major renovation of its White golf course. Scheduled to begin in August, the project will include reshaping and strategic placement of all bunkers using the Billie Bunker liner and premium white sand, realigning of several fairways, pond enhancements, new tees, and a complete redesign of several green complexes to USGA specifications. The $2 million renovation will be led by course architect Drew Rogers and implemented by Wadsworth Construction Company, with completion expected by Memorial Day 2023.  The club’s other 18-hole layout—the Red course—will remain playable this season, as will the top-notch practice facilities, putting greens, multiple chipping areas and full driving range.

“These upgrades to our White course and other additions continue to position Twin Orchard as the premier private club in the area,” said Newman.
