THE SEA PINES RESORT DEBUTS ‘DEFENDING CHAMPION BURGER’ FOR ’24 RBC HERITAGE
Tournament’s ’23 winner Matt Fitzpatrick designs menu item for Fraser’s Tavern
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (April 15, 2024) – What would Matt Fitzpatrick order? When it comes to a burger, The Sea Pines Resort’s Fraser’s Tavern is debuting how one of the world’s top 10 players would customize his personal patty, the “Defending Champion Burger.”
Fitzpatrick, who outlasted Jordan Spieth in a memorable playoff to capture the 2023 RBC Heritage, designed his own combination:
- Patty: Blend of short rib, brisket, and chuck
- Bun: Hearth-based sesame seed
- Add-ons: Applewood smoked bacon
- Cheese: Emmental (Swiss)
- Sauce: Garlic herb aioli
The Defending Champion Burger is one of six new burgers on the Fraser’s Tavern menu. It retails for $19.95 (which includes sides), with $1 going to a charity supported by the Heritage Classic Foundation. The 2024 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing will be played April 15-21 over the Harbour Town Golf Links.
