Savor Sea Pines Celebrates Food, Wine and Spirits in February

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (Jan. 8, 2021)Savor Sea Pines—a month-long celebration of food, wine, and spirits, featuring some of the finest chefs in the culinary world—will take place throughout The Sea Pines Resort, starting on February 1 and continuing through February 27, 2021.

The series of socially distant events—including dinners, tastings, demonstrations, and classes—will use venues throughout The Sea Pines Resort: Fraser’s Tavern, Links – an American Grill, Coast, and Harbour Town Clubhouse.

“We are so pleased to have an opportunity to present this one-of-a-kind celebration,” said Matthew Roher, Director of Food and Beverage. “We have assembled a collection of guest chefs, sommeliers, wine and spirits companies, and others to join us for a wide range of distinctly Sea Pines events.”

Roher also noted that the resort’s spacious and iconic locations provided a “unique opportunity to offer a safe and COVID-conscious series of events that will create a world-class experience under the safest protocols possible.” Many Savor Sea Pines events will be held outdoors in wide, open areas. Those held indoors will take place in large, spacious venues like the Champions Ballroom to provide adequate space for social distancing. Attendance will be limited at each event and temperature checks will be conducted prior to admittance.

Throughout February, guest chefs from Charleston, Charlotte, Atlanta, and points north—including past James Beard Award Winners, a Top Chef contestant, as well as brew masters and vintners—will be showcased. Special occasions, including Super Bowl LV and Valentine’s Day, have culinary events planned to match.

The festival starts with the re-opening of Links, an American Grill, on February 1 and introduces new Chef de Cuisine RJ Dye, formerly of Aqua and Catch Restaurants in Grand Cayman, as well as the Dewberry Hotel, FIG and The Ordinary Restaurant in Charleston.
