MUCH-BELOVED FAMILY ENTERTAINER GREGG RUSSELL TO RESUME POPULAR SUMMERTIME CONCERT SERIES AT THE SEA PINES RESORT

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (May 13, 2021) – After a one-year, COVID-driven hiatus, beloved Sea Pines Resort entertainer Gregg Russell will be back this summer in Harbour Town performing his family-friendly concerts.

Renowned for his interactive sing-alongs, the Hilton Head Island icon will take the stage below the famed Sea Pines Liberty Oak starting on Friday evening of Memorial Day weekend. His concert schedule will also include performances from 8-9:30pm Monday through Friday from June 2 to August 20 with special shows planned for July 4, Labor Day weekend and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Gregg back to Harbour Town with protocols in place to ensure everyone’s safety,” Sea Pines Resort President Steve Birdwell said. “After more than four decades entertaining generations of families at The Sea Pines Resort, Gregg has become one of the highlights of summer vacation for so many of our property owners and visitors. It’s a magical experience to see children and adults gathered under the Liberty Oak, singing, clapping and laughing along with Gregg. His concerts truly are the best kind of wholesome family entertainment.”

To protect the health of guests and staff, The Sea Pines Resort will spread out seating and recommend concert attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing. Guests are welcome to bring their own folding chairs and sit on the lawn area adjacent to the bench seating.

In keeping with concert tradition, children will continue to be permitted to sit on stage and make signs appealing to be picked for a turn in the limelight. Microphones will be cleaned and the foam wind screens replaced after each use.

The Gregg Russell concerts will take place from 8-9:30pm on the following dates:

May 28-30 (Friday-Sunday)

June 2-August 20 (Monday-Friday)

July 4 (Sunday)

August 23 (Monday)

August 25 (Wednesday)

August 27 (Friday)

September 2-5 (Labor Day Weekend)

Holiday concerts will be held from 7:30-9pm with the Thanksgiving performance on Friday, November 26, and the Christmas show on Thursday, December 23.
