BRAINERD, Minn. (Sept. 25, 2023) — Cragun’s Resort, in partnership with Gull Lake Events and nine local restaurants, is hosting the Oktober Pub Crawl from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 7. Adding to the day of fun, Cragun’s Resort also has created an attractively priced lodging package to ensure the weekend festivities continue well after sunset.
Celebrating the rich German tradition of Oktoberfest while enjoying the finest German beers and cuisine the Brainerd community has to offer, the Pub Crawl supports two deserving local charities: the Confidence Learning Center and Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes.
The Pub Crawl promises a day of camaraderie and culinary delights as participants explore the diverse flavors of German food and beverages at each participating location. The adventure begins with the purchase of a $40 ticket to the Gull Lake Event Oktoberfest, which includes a wristband granting access to the shuttles, commemorative mug for sampling German beer, and delightful surprises from event sponsors.
This year’s participating venues in the Oktober Pub Crawl include the Legacy Grille, Zorbaz on Gull, Cowboy’s, Ernie’s, Quarterdeck, Sunshine’s Summerhouse, Sherwood North, Side Track, and Roundhouse Brewery.
There is no reason to leave Cragun’s as the resort is offering a special package that includes two nights’ lodging, breakfast, event wristband, admission to the Oktoberfest After Party featuring the Xpedition Band (sponsored by Leinenkugel’s), a Cragun’s souvenir mug, one drink ticket for the concert, and round-trip shuttle service. The package starts at $189/night, which represents a savings of 40 percent off regular rates.
The Xpedition Band, renowned for their performances of classic hits from bands like Kansas, Journey, Foreigner and Styx will take the stage at 8 p.m., promising a night of unforgettable music and entertainment. Tickets for the event are available for $25.
