manages Hunter Public Relations • Special Events’ West Coast office on California’s Monterey Peninsula.

As the company’s vice president, Kristen spearheads publicity programs and special events for a number of HPR’s clients. She is responsible for the creation and oversight of production timelines for all events, staff and vendor management. Kristen has overseen numerous corporate golf outings, golf course openings and special events during her 20 years with HPR, including the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Golf Classic and the California Golf Writers Association Banquet.

For the past ten years, Kristen has managed the media center at the prestigious AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, overseeing a core staff of volunteers and managing the needs of more than 400 media from around the globe.

Prior to forming the company with her sister, Karen, she served as Corporate Communications Coordinator for Nutrilite Products, Inc., where she designed, wrote and edited all in-house publications.

As director of special events for the Northern California Golf Association, Kristen produced banquets, tournaments and commemorative outings. She also helped create the NCGA Team Match program, which she then inaugurated and administered. As the NCGA’s Tournament Director she managed a 100-member volunteer force, worked closely with host courses on grounds preparations and fielded media inquiries.

Kristen is a member of the Golf Writers Association of America, Public Relations Society of American and Girls, Inc. She is a graduate of Michigan State University.
